Features
Description: This product is designed to support 64 channels of differential or single-ended wide range (±10mV to ±10V) analog inputs.
The board supports the following modes of operation:
Auto Scan
Random Polling
Random Interrupt
Scan Polling
Scan Interrupt
Auto Scan with BIT
The 64-word dual port provides storage for continuous scanning of all channels. Scan patterns can be performed automatically at power-up, system reset, or entered under program control.
Dual port registers allow access to the VMEbus at any time to read the latest stored data.
Jumper-selectable programmable gain amplifiers support gain ranges of 1. 10. 100. 200. and 500. A/D conversion time is 15 µs. Multiple low-pass filters are supported.
Operation Modes
Auto Scan Mode: This mode is executed via power-up system reset or program selection. All channels are scanned continuously and digitized data is stored in 64- and 16-bit dual-port registers.
No additional programming is required to initiate the A/D conversion process. The user simply reads the digitized data from the dual-port register of the desired channel. This mode is only available with a gain of 1 and at least 16 connected channels.
16 connected channels.
Random Polling Mode: This mode requires the control program to generate a conversion. The end of the conversion is determined by polling the end-of-conversion status bit.
Random Interrupt Mode: This mode is the same as Random Polling Mode, but an interrupt is issued to the CPU board at the end of the conversion.
Scan Polling Mode: This is a scanning mode that performs a scan of all channels. The end-of-scan control bit is polled to determine when the scan is complete.
Scan Interrupt Mode: This is a scan mode that performs a single scan of all channels and generates an end-of-scan interrupt at the end of the scan.
Auto Scan Bit Mode: All channels are scanned continuously and channel 0 is multiplexed in one of three exact reference voltages. The voltages are 4.980. 0.4928. and .009915V.
Programmable Interval Timer: 16-bit triple timer (cascadable to 48-bit) can be programmed to generate a periodic trigger to initiate an A/D scan.
External Trigger: Scan can be initiated using a user connected signal. Board Components
