520ADD02 Input/Output Adapter

Extends WRB to decentralised locations

Number of modules selectable via front jumper (4 or 8)

Input: WRB

Output 1: Fibre optic interface (multimode)

Output 2: RS485

Applications

I/O adapter 520ADD02 for connecting more than 16 RTU520 I/O modules to the

RTU520 or RTU540 to an I/O bus with RS485 or fibre optic connection.

The adapter can also be used to extend the WRB I/O bus in decentralised I/O applications.

The maximum distance is up to 2 kilometres and the distance between www.abb-drive.com the I/O adapters needs to be more than 30 cm.

In addition, I/O adapter 520ADD02 can be used as a stand-alone module to extend the RTU560 I/O modules (e.g. 23BE40. 23BE40. 23BE40. 23BE40. 23BE40. 23BE40. 23BE40. 23BE40. 23BE40. 23BE40).

(e.g. 23BE40. 23BE50. 23BA40) to the RTU540.

The module is available in two versions (standard)

– R0001: RS485

– R0002: RS485 and glass fibre optics, 840 nm

Features

The I/O adapter connects to the WRB I/O bus (wired OR bus)

The I/O adapter connects to the WRB I/O bus (wired OR bus) and automatically generates the address of the connected I/O module within the I/O assembly.

The I/O adapter is always the last adapter unit in Virtual I/O Chassis 1.

The adapter converts the WRB I/O bus to the SPB I/O bus (Serial Peripheral Bus) via RS485 or fibre optic connection.

The glass fibre optic module is compatible with the 23OK24 and 560FOC40 modules.

There are two green LEDs on the module to indicate activity on the I/O bus.
