ProSoft Technology® inRAx® Message Manager is a single-slot solution that

Connects and transfers plant and factory process automation monitoring and control data between automation islands of different platforms, networks and protocols.

The inRAx Message Manager is an easy-to-use data transfer engine for the ControlLogix™ 1756 platform.

Supports Rockwell Automation® Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and Programmable Automation Controller (PAC) network protocols.

as well as platforms and devices using Siemens Industrial Ethernet and Modbus TCP/IP protocols.

The ILX56-MM helps system integrators and end-users reduce the engineering effort required to coordinate data transfer between multiple control systems in factory and plant automation applications.

The Message Manager enables PLC/PAC data exchange without the need for additional PLC programming for specific messages, simplifying and streamlining data connection and transfer operations.

Functional Specifications

Supported protocols: Modbus TCP/IP and Siemens Industrial Ethernet are supported through the built-in Ethernet port.

EtherNet/IP, ControlNet, Data Highway+ (DH+), and Data Highway 485 (DH485) are supported through the Rockwell Automation (RA) 1756 communications bridge module.

Data transfer: Transfer data between up to 16 individually configurable communication interface connections

Interfaces: Select RA, Modbus TCP/IP, or Siemens IE protocols for each interface

Label Browse and use the label name of any RA PAC or any Allen-Benix PAC in the ControlLogix local or remote chassis.

Chassis or the tag name of any Allen-Bradley® PLC or RA PAC.

Label name in the network. Create user-defined labels for Modbus and Siemens data addresses.

Transfer Lists: Create data exchange lists using source and destination tags

Triggers: Define events that can cause one or more transfer lists to be executed.

Triggers can be based on tag values or predetermined time intervals.

Security View configuration information without logging in. You must log in to change the configuration. Project-level users can change the configuration and start/stop data transfer operations (i.e., switch between running and idle).

Administrator-level users can make project-level changes and assign user names, passwords, and security access levels to all users.

Internal Date and Time: Can be set manually or synchronized with ControlLogix or CompactLogix. Synchronization frequency can be infrequent, hourly, daily, every 8 hours, or every 12 hours.

Configuration Data: Can be saved offline or to an on-board flash card.

Configuration Utility: Includes built-in help. Online configuration only

Setup Mode: Setup mode allows you to temporarily set the Message Manager network port settings to default values. Setup mode also allows you to reset the default administrative password.
