The PROFIBUS DPV1 master module is a powerful communication interface for Quantum ® processors.

Developed under licence from Quantum ®, the module uses proprietary backplane technology to enable powerful data exchange with the processor.

The module supports the full master specification according to IEC 61158. The ability to transfer acyclic parameter data via Class 1 or Class 2 DPV1 services.

Enables the processor to easily communicate with slave devices that support the PROFIBUS DPV0/V1 protocol.

This module is the input/output module between the PROFIBUS www.abb-drive.com network and the processor. The processor data transfer is asynchronous to the I/O data transfer on the PROFIBUS network.

Configuration

ProSoft Configuration Builder (PCB) provides a PC-based software configuration solution for managing module configuration files and viewing communications and network diagnostics.

The PCB is a powerful solution not only for new configuration files, but also for importing configuration information from previous installations (known jobs) into new projects.
